Brazil has 77 million consumers who can generate their own energy, estimate the Brazilian Association of Distributed Generation (ABGD). By 2024, more than 1.2 million residential electric power generation systems must be installed in the country, according to calculations by the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel). To serve this promising market, the National Service for Industrial Learning (SENAI) is training professionals in São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Ceará, Federal District and Rio Grande do Norte.

The SENAI initiative is part of the training and technical assistance program provided by the German Development Cooperation, through the state-owned company GIZ, with resources from the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
